Parental Role Information
At Wargrave pre-school we actively encourage parents to get involved with the early years of their children's education. To do this we have set up a rota for on a term by term basis where parents can sign up to come in and help out at the pre-school.
If you are interested in getting involved then please put your name on the rota in the foyer of the pre-school or speak to the manager in person or via the Contact Us page.
Run by parents, the current pre-school committee has dedicated volunteer members from Wargrave village. Together the team is responsible for the overall management of the pre-school including financial management, fundraising, administration, public relations and the committee's secretarial duties.
All members can be contacted via the Contact Us page (please state FAO: Member Name in the email).
I am writing to thank you for the wonderful education and care you provide for my son Freddie. We find the pre-school to be a vibrant and stimulating environment both inside and out... Read more here.

The Bright Days Fund
If you have read some of the small print within the website pages you will see that we have tried to explain how the pre-school works.
As new parents ourselves and as staff members; quiet often there was a grey area around how an independent charity pre-school actually stayed a float.
Well, over the past few years cuts in funding across a whole range of public sector bodies has resulted in the pre-school needing to find other ways of making sure that as a community educational facility we not only survive as a business but still offer the best possible child care for our children.
We introduced the Bright Days Fund in 2014. This is a voluntary contribution of up to £25 per term. Every single penny of this money will go towards an experience for your child. This has included, a mobile farm for the day, a jo jingles visit every week, a planetarium visit and ended with a wonderful boat trip and picnic for all staff, children and parents on the River Thames.
We suggest £25 but whatever you can afford will be greatly received and please do remember this money does not disappear into a black hole it is managed purely for the fun, experience and nurturing of your child.
